Summer Series 2003 - Penton, John Howard, Jerry Bonham, Randall Jones, Steve Porter, Sean Cusick

Get warmed up for our John Howard Saturday event with the opening night to our Summer of Love weekend. Special guest Ian from New York City jets in to drop his silky smooth house vibes. Dan Petrov of Warm Art and Proton Radio opens the evening with some top-shelf grooves, while resident Deviant sprinkles some progressive fairy-dust here and there.

Don't care to dance? Get comfy in one of the dozens of armchairs perched over the dance floor and get lost in the sound. Love to dance? You'll appreciate the wide, open hardwood floor. And don't forget about the back room with computer animation and classic flicks!

If you're looking for a place to line up a one-night stand, stay home. This joint is for true heads only. Discover why Abbasso is the champion of the underground. Come experience the ::TRUE:: vibe.

John Howard is a legend in house music. He started DJing in 1993, during San Francisco’s infamous Summer of Love. John’s first regular appearances were at Groove Kitchen and the Boogie Buffet with Mark Farina. Then on to Stompy Stomp, Together with Dubtribe, Spundae, and Wicked.

John’s sound is smooth San Fran funk fused with a large dose of Chicago style, combined with his own brand of eclectic jazz and Bay Area influences. It’s always funky and it’s always different.

You've heard John rock it on the critically acclaimed SF Sessions Series from OM Records. And now he’s rising as a producer, with his track “Buddha Cowboy” appearing on OM’s 100th Release double CD. Please join us for John's four-hour set at Part Two of the Abbasso Summer Series.

plus IAN (headrushmusic nyc), DEVIANT (headrush music), &
JASON SODITCH (abbasso)

JOHN HOWARD WASSSSSSS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO good! I had quite a blast last night but I guess I'm feeling old I was so tired at the end even if I didn't dance that much :haha:

big up to headrushmusic :toothless

The night was, quite simply, amazing. John Howard proved that he is much, much more than a "San Francisco House" DJ, and that it's not just the genre of trance that exudes raw emotion. Amazing.
