Astral Projection = ripoffs?
View this Thread in Original format

I was listening to some AP tracks and noticed they sound an awful lot like some other tunes..

"Let there be light" 5:20 (Slowed down by ~40%)
Sounds like "Desert Rose" by Sting

"Anything is possible" 4:28
Sounds like "Run on" by Moby

What's going on??:conf:

did you know that if you slow down sandstorm by 1000% you get a ripoff of out of the blue with a george bush speech in it?

Well 'let there be light' was originally released in 1996 on 'Goa Vibes 1' and Stings 'Desert Rose' was, if I remember a 1999 release. (Correct me if i'm wrong.) Three years is ample time for Sting to realise that a slowed down version would be a commercial success.

Maybe freedom of speech and the right to question and think for yourself are not guarenteed in your country. There are resemblences in the tunes, he just didn't know which came first. Stop giving him a hard time about it. If it was Scooter ripping off another track, I bet I wouldn't see you complaining.
