Ok, I bought a turntable yesterday, the Numark TTX1, and I found out it was more of a bitch to put together etc.. than I originally thought it was. I thought I had it figured out, it was playing fine last night. Then I put a few records on today and the sound coming out was strange. Like, the beat is sounding like two beats, kind of echoing, more or less. I have no idea if it's the TT, or something I ed up putting it together, like the needle, or whatever. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure the tonearm is securely fastened, as well as the headshell. Did you install the cartridges yourself? If so, you may want to re-mount the carts on your headshell...check the 4 connections from the cart to the headshell. I had this problem a while ago with some Shure M44Gs, as it turns out, I had a faulty cartridge.

I had this same problem too. Switch your input to phono instead of line.
