Iron Chef.... Iron DJ!

Ever watch the Food Network tv show Iron Chef? The show pits chefs from around the world against three super chefs. Each super chef has a speciality. (Chinese food, French and Japanese) At the end of an hour, judges decide who is better: The challenger chef or the super chef.
Imagine if there was an Iron DJ show where up-and-coming local DJs face off against superstar DJs? Like for trance have Tiesto and AvB and for progressive have Digweed or Sasha. Each DJ does a 1 hour set and viewers can cast their votes. Hrhrhrhr
That's a reality TV show I would watch. ;) |

Actually that's a pretty good idea.... But the show would probably only be 1hr in length... anything more than that and the public would get bored with it... But it could get pretty interesting.... The master would give each dj a secret ingredient (in this case, a crate of records) and they have to get the best set together they can!!!!
Sounds like a hit to me!! |

| Iron Chef is so hilarious!!! The cooking show with faceoffs and instant replays.. priceless!! I would love it if there were an Iron DJ show, but it's not likely.. rofl @ Iron Chef, the host guy looks like Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat, it's great!! |

| Yeah I love Iron Chef! Your idea sounds cool too, but only as long as each DJ plays a half hour long set. |

hehehe we should have a TA Iron DJ contest hehehe...we choose a bunch of songs...and people can make a mix with those tracks anyway that they like, then the people in charge of it listen to all of the sets...pick some to be posted and then they are voted on by the boards hehehe...ahhh that'll be the day...or even better everyone picks there own tunes and we judge the best mix...gotta have your secret weapons hehehe...

| i think that if this ever got turned into a tv show...first off it would be late at night hehehe...it wouldn't survive on primetime...and second it would probably have to be on the bbc or something because it wouldn't be supported in america as much as europe and if it was on the bbc then i could still see it hehehehe.// |

Floorfiller's idea looks good, but I have another idea sort of like his. To start the thing we have a 1-on-1 match. The people in charge choose 1 track that you must include somewhere in your 5-track-long set. Each set is streamed live, but when the two DJ's are done, the people in charge put the two sets up for download and set up a poll. The winner becomes one of the three Iron Deejays. We do this three times until we have three Iron Deejays.
Now that we have three Iron Deejays, it goes like this: a challenger chooses one of the three Iron Deejays that he wants to battle. Same procedure as above and the challenger spins first, then the Iron Deejay. If the winner is the challenger then he takes the place of the Iron Deejay he beat. And it just continues like that in a cycle. Close enough to the show in my opinion :) |
