| Everyone seems to be jumping on a bandwagon, releasing DVDs that is...Tiesto, PvD, Chicane etc etc seems to be the latest trend these days isn't it??? What would be the next way to make money?? Once the dead horse beating will be over only the future will show... |

The DVD boom sounds good to me. More content, and at a good value.
The Paul van Dyk Global DVD is a good example of what the format can bring to music.
Chemical Brothers are releasing a disk too... |

dvd's jsut accelerate the pop culture theory presented by that thread i made.
thus i think theyre bad for trance.
the only way they are good is that maybe peopel who live far away and never get to see the dj's will get a good insite into stuff. but then again they will become another contributer to the pop culture and that is again, bad. |

| yeah, PVD global is a great DVD, watched about 3 or 4 times now, dont get sick of it. its worth every penny. |

i like the idea of trance dvd's...even if it is a contribution to pop culture. If it makes the artists more accessible, why not produce a dvd. i suppose there is the danger of overexposure/commercialism, but not all will go the distance; thats jst seems to be the way it is.
If i had a dvd player id buy them, jst like id buy my favorite movies.
It means i get to see things i otherwise wouldn't :D |
