Right then, after taking in what a few people had said about my last project i've come up with this, which in my opinion is a lot better and more produced than the last. The track I've remixed might not be to everyones taste, but i'm more interested in your views of my production technique - rather than the melody..
any, RBA - in my opinion is great tune, but needed a good 4/4 remix, and some body to it - which is what i've given in my remix.
download the track here *updated* and let me have your feedback.
thank you :D |

| Not too fond of the bass. I think it could have a better groove to it, you know? The lead i think should be bigger sounding. Maybe layer some more saws on top of what you have. Really good use of effects and percussion! 8/10 |

this is nice mate :)
nic01445 was right about the bassline, IMO it needs a different synth noise on it (that patch has been used 9807597329843750984375097 times ;)) but other than that this is crackin work ;) i still think u need to try and get more fx in there tho.. when that is done it will sound better :)
the production is getting better everytime u do a track.. keep it up and ull be producing pro stuff in no time :D |

its rather good, bass is rather crap tho lol. well the first bassline, if you drop it an octave and compress it with a lil delay or reverb it could be quite good. synth is well cool. you have come a long way very quickly justin, impressed :) |

Very Nice indeed !
nice construction and I love the percussion.
Personally I think the bass line is ok, just needs more compression.
1 Prob tho, try adding more layers to your lead synth to give it more power.
Great mix tho :D |

Cheers for all of the comments so far :D very encouraging
i fully take on board what you are all saying about layering the synth a little, i'll give it a go - but my computer just isn't fast enough to hear all the changes in real time, i have to add effects etc, then render the track to hear the difference - when i get a better PC i'll be able to make more intricate or layered effects on the leads - same thing with bassline too - if i added any more effects to the bass (yes it's already reverbed and delayed) i fear my PC might just jump off my desk and die
Luke>> i'll lower the offbeat bassline an octave and see if i like that better - although i reckon it might start getting into the sub frequencies and will be lost in the mix.
*update*
I've added an extra layer of lead synths - raised 1 octave to widen the sound, also sorted out some minor probs i had with the filtering. I added stra delay on some of the single drum hits i had, and also compressed and lowered the offbeat bass, and i've extended the intro by 8 bars. :D |

I think you should take the reverb on the bass down a bit. Still, the only thing that seems lacking is the lead. I'm really diggin that kinda amp-feedback-ish sound that you have playin with the lead. 8/10 |
