Can someone help me with stupid Audio Galaxy?

This stupid thing sucks!
i search for a song, click on it, click search and it does NOTHING!
i have the Audio Galaxy Satallite thing, but it doesnt download!
what the hell? |

arright here's what u do..the thing with audiogalaxy is, unlike napster and other file-sharing progs, it doesn't start instantly...u just have to leave it on and running...it starts by itself..sumtimes it starts within a minute or two, sumtimes it takes longer..
so
a)u search for a song
b)results come up
c)u click on a title thats available(u know its available because it has those green vertical lines by the name)
d)it then takes u to a page where u hit the "Search for Song" button
e)it takes u to a page saying that u've added it to your search list
f)u sit back and relax...theres nothing more u have to do from here on out...leave it to AG...
my guess is that 56k or slower users mite find audiogalaxy pretty irritating, what with all the pages it takes u to b4 the download starts...i don't know tho..

| yeah even though audiogalaxy may be complicated at times i think it is the best thing currently to search for. it has by far the most songs available. |

yeah, when I first started using AG I didn't like it at all. Now it's only ok since I can find most of the songs I'm looking for. Out of 10 I'd only give it a 7 since it serves its purpose most of the time.

yeah when i first used AG it was e... none of the tunes i wanted would be n there, now it aint so bad, it just takes ages to get goin! the trick is ith 56k to que up about 10 or so songs and leave it overnight or sumthin... thats what i do :)
still nowhere near as good for finding those rare ones as napster was, but it makes up for it with resumability :) the speeds have also got better recently, it used to be slow as , now its a moderate speed :)
all in all a thumbs up but if everyone used morpheus it would be so much better :)

tru dat.
but on AG, i get speeds usually of about 100K/s so that's pretty good. and nowadays i can ALWAYS find songs that i want. it's always there. i don't think i've ever had any problems finding a song yet with AG...so that's great! :D |

One thing you have to keep in mind is, you can't stop a download in AudioGalaxy from the Client Program, you have to go to their website and stop it from there. That's the thing that got me confused at first.
The client that you install on your HD, is a pretty ty piece of software, doesn't have much at all. But the nice thing is, you can plug in your own "interface module" (that you wrote yourself, in C/C++ for example). So if someone comes up with a better, more graphical and user-friendly interface library, the service will REALLY take off.
I totally agree that currently it's the best place to go for MP3's, seems like it has 99% of what I want. |
