DJ Tiesto in Chicago Vs DJ Tiesto in Detroit
View this Thread in Original format
Dont_Stop
Below are the two tracklistings of the two shows respectively. I have seen Tiesto three times this year Ultra 5, Detroit and Chicago. Although detroit was almost an hour shorter 12-2:45 when chicago was 1-4:45 (around). In Detroit his encore lasted an 45 minutes and the club is supposed to close at 2am but stayed opened 45 minutes later. In detroit he did not mess up on the tables, played no filler songs, and played a incredibly hyped up hardcore energy set. Also the crowd was more into it too. Granted Tiesto in chicago was sweet as hell and having my friend and other TAs get him to play voyage was amazing. After having Tiesto tease us at Virgin by cutting his short mini set right before the huge breakdown of Solar Factor Urban Shakedown i was sure he would play it at Chicago. But no. My friends who also saw both agree that deroit was better. What does everyone else think?

The Detroit show appears to have some songs that I was hoping to hear in Chicago, but is missing some of the tracks I'm glad I heard. I'm a huge fan of the NRC track, as well as Forever Waiting and Candesco. I did look forward to hearing Breathing (Breaks Dub) and Electronic Malfunction though, so both had their own solid elements. Plus we got Lethal Industry and Voyage :)

Wow... This is a really really tough decision. Ive seen a lot of djs in the past years too and tiesto's shows in chicago and detroit may both be in the top 3 ive ever seen. The entire night with virgin and then the show and partying afterwards was probably the best night ive had in a long long time. I think i had more fun in chicago (as the pictures show), but tiesto's mixing and set was just perfect in detroit. It's such a hard decision to say which was better. I dont think i can decide!

Hey TAs...I must vote for Detroit! I'm sorry about all you Chicagoans or whatever, but I gotta speak with my true feelings on this one. I had a great time in Chicago, the people were cool, the atmosphere was chill...but Detroit's show was just crazy fun. It really doesn't matter which was better, because everybody will have different feelings, but I say Detroit. Tiesto played past the city's cut off point (2am: Stupid Politicians)! The crowd just couldn't get enough...and he played Southern Sun dude....for those that weren't there for that, I'm sorry....it was mind-crazyness to hear that mixed by him. That is all...peace.:eyespop:
