hey, this is what i have done so far with mk-s's song astropolis. id like you to listen to it and give me some feedback and/or ideas. its in the early stages, so if i do finish it hopefully it will be better. thanks ahead of time.

| Not too fond of that guitar deal in the begining. I think the lead is a bit weak... needs some more power behind it, you know? I like the strings with the lead, its a really good atmostphere. I really like the breakdown. I'm a sucker for strings :) 8/10 |

hmm, i like the guitar lol. right now it is made from samples i recorded from my acoustic guitar and then put into a sampler and sequenced out, but i guess i might just record me playin the whole thing because that will make it sound a lot more realistic... or do you think i should make up something different for the guitar to play? man i dunno how to get that lead any more powerful sounding but ill try to mess with it some more. anyways, thanks for the comments guys, im kinda new to making trance so any comments are gonna help a lot.

| well, i like the guitar sound, i just think the notes kinda clash. i dunno, try playin so 3 note chords or something, i think that would sound nice. :) To make the lead more powerfull...try layering the lead with some more samples. ARe you using reason? |

hmm, you mean find some 3 note chords not based on the notes im using right now? i have tried playing the same chords as the bass and that sounds nice too so i might do that.
as for software im using reason 2.0 and cubase sx, i am doing all the sequencing in cubase sx and i have a bunch of vst instruments running and the rest are instruments in reason. |

You kinda know what I think already :)
The two chilled parts of the track sound great, the main part lacks something which I can't put my finger on.

Hey mate ;)
Definately a damn nice buildup. I really like the break at the start, nothing wrong with the guitar type sound imho. The lead is kind of weak though, crank it up a bit ;)
Looking forward to the finished mix!

thanks for the support, im glad y'all like what i have done so far.. i dont finish a lot of stuff lol.. i always stop in the middle and go on to other stuff, but i really am going to try to finish this remix since people seem to think its alright. anyway, thanks again.
