Ok i keep getting these lame jokes form jokesgalore.com, i have never even laughed at any of them , see what you guys think

Polish Air Lines flight 113 was descending for a landing at an
airport they had never been to before. The pilot looked out the
windshield and suddenly exclaimed to the copilot, "Holy cow!
Look how short the runway is! I`ve never seen one that short!"
The copilot looked out the windshield. "Wow! you`re right!
That`s incredible! Are you sure we can make it?" "Well we
better, were almost out of fuel."
So the captain got on the intercom and notified the passengers
to put their heads between their knees and prepare for an
emergency landing. Then he set the flaps to full down and slowed
the plane to just over stall speed. The big jumbo jet came
screaming in, on the ragged edge of control. The pilot`s hands
were sweating, the copilot was praying. They touched down and
came screeching to a halt JUST before the edge of the runway,
the tires smoking.
"WHEW! That was CLOSE!" yelled the captain."That runway was
SHORT!" "Yeah!" said the copilot,"and WIDE too!"
is it a joke ? |

i think it means that they landed the plane on the runway the wrong way round, meaning they landed it widthways

hmmm, no not really, i don't associate Polish with being stupid... perhaps the Irish like...
A 4 seater Cessena light aircraft crash landed in a grave yard in Ireland today, rescue teams have worked through the night and so far have recovered 342 bodies. |

LoL that's a good'un.
Unfortunately w/ the original joke...typical polish joke, but being in the profession you can barely land a helicopter on the width of a runway...let alone an aircraft...thank god I haven't tried...yes I'm polish too...hehe...so I'm biased :D :D. Of course landing...flying a helicopter is a different story. I still have problems figuring out why they fly at all! |

| While we speak of it I've noticed one particular thing: people from america (and some other countries) have hard time finding jokes with hidden "punches" funny... Many a time I go on and tell my friends a joke that requires some thinking to be fully appreciated, and they simply don't get it, even though they are intelligent people... I guess that american audience expects a "delivered on a plate" humour, the primitive jokes... Oh well, to each their own I guess ;) |
