So aren't you acknowledging exactly what I said... that he is no stranger to techno?
And as for Ferry and Armin being his peers -- well, for some time these three have been associated with exactly the same kind of music: uplifting trance. |

| no, since he was always into techno, he started out in techno, the 2 space age cds he made were 98... he then left it to his brother montana...so he had moved on from techno into trance... they have been associated with the same kind of music because they have produced tracks together on many occasions... so for them to be his peers, i think not, i'd say its the other way around... |

Ok, tech - trance, you said it, but have you ever heard real TECHNO ?!?! I mean.... have you ever heard Mellow trax -- outta space /!? and that part in the peak of the tune you got those techno elements... thats how techno really is, and how the whole song is based, flight 635 is not even close to TECHNO, but is techy.. as in more Harder trance.. know what I mean ?! |

| When he says that you need drugs to like techno he probably mean most techno and by saying that he doesnt say techno is bad....just that you need drugs to get in the mood you get by listening to trance......For me Techno is for dancing.....Trance is for feeling...and dancing...... |

eugene and others, tiesto said in a radio interview (on grooveradio) that he wasn't moving towards tech-trance or whatever you call it, this was just a one-time thing he did, on a whim... while flying (on flight 643) to london or nyc or somewhere.
he's not changing his sound in the slightest. just listen to his sets.
and let it go, so he made one bad statement about techno, i doubt he "dislikes" it or even really meant that - we all say idiotic things at times to exaggerate our point. except armand van helden, the dumbass yank who hates trance with a passion. what a chump. |

sorry to on u, but thats the biggest pile of horse- ive ever heard!
as for tiesto moving.. he is swaying between progressive and uplifting a lot atm.. i heard him play 2 sets in 4 weeks, both completely different, one uplifting and epic as , the other more max graham-esque progressive.. flight 643 yeah thats tech/prog... and i hate it when ppl diss him for makin it.. at least he's got the bollocks to experiment unlike his 'peers' ferry and armin who have been makin the same tune in a different order for too long now... there are ppl worse than them, but they are bastards for it!
then theres the techno statement.. i seriously doubt tijs would have said that and meant it.. as someone has already said, if he did he'd be ting on the music his brother makes, and he has got a brain so he knows its where trance half came from...

armin and ferry get waaaay too much praise, and not enough criticism on these boards. they're good, but most of us are calling them gods and such, when (esp. armin, not really ferry) their productions are eerily cookie-cutter. |
