well, he's actually managed to clone himself into about 50 copies. so they're more like a big organization that produces about 10 tunes a day.

It's confusing, isn't it?
I'm sure many people in here like Haak could list a lot more aliases that Mike Dierickx (he changed his first name from Dirk) has been / is using. If you look around you'll find that almost anybody that has been in the trance music production business for a while has got quite a few different names they're using. There are many reasons for this. One important factor is the fact that many people release tracks under different labels, and so the first label get the copyright to that name, which means that you have to find another name if you want to switch labels and so on... Another reason why so many names are used, is because many producers make a lot of different sounding music, like for example one uplifting trance-track and one progressive track. So when you see that your fav producer uses this or that nick, you know a bit about what to expect. Sometimes they also use a special name when producing together with specific people.
There are more reasons, but I hope this explains it nicely. |

Oliver Lieb is also one of the artists who has a million aliases. He has very different sounding tunes from weird and experimental tunes to hard banging technoish tunes and again to smooth ambience stuff.
*Edit* ahh, TTR got ahead of me. |

Perfectly put!;) I read a Ferry interview a long time ago about this. He had the exact same reasons, and he also had way more aliases than Mike Dierickx!
