There's a new remix of Robert Miles' Children.
It's called "Children of the Sandstorm"
it can be found on Napster.
Don't know how decent it is, haven't heard it yet - only got told about it.
Oh, it may not be that new, but it's only come out here (South Africa) now. |

| I agree with Agi, nearly all Darudes tracks/remixes have those same damn Arpeggioed synths.. drives me nuts :( |

It's not as bad as the people on this post have made it out - it's different, not brilliant, but I think a lot better than some of the other stuff out there.

that's one thing I've noticed most about this particular track along with the amount of airtime it's received from mainstream radio ...
People either love it or hate it. I've hardly come across anyone who just thinks of the track like any other. Even with DJ's... you have guys like Corsten who play it at large parties and guys like Tiesto who don't even consider it trance or worth playing for that matter.
Wells according to his website http://www.darude.com , the Fins seem to be really proud about Darude's work.

I like Darude's Sandstorm it's not the greatest track in the world, but it has energy and is guaranteed to get a crowd moving, although I get the impression that in Europe it is over commercialized and played out. Too bad every other song I've heard from Darude sounds just like sandstorm.
Fortunately I haven't heard it that many times and can still enjoy it. I suppose that is a "benefit" of living in a city where trance on the radio amounts to a few hours of airtime at midnight Saturday night mixed with techno, house, and jungle. :( Well, at least that's more than I can say for other US cities.
I also LOVE "Children", it's one of those tracks that always brings back memories, very emotional. But this combination does NOT work. In fact it kind of makes me angry that somebody decided to disgrace Children bringing it back like this. Maybe it could if it were done correctly but this mix sounds more like someone playing a bit of Children... then a bit of Sandstorm... then some more of Children... then some more of Sandstorm and so on.

Well peoples.... honestly Sandstorm does get played to much..but you cant judge a tune when you have heard it millions of times over and over again...any song would go on your nerves.....but i bet majority of you when you first heard Sandstorm you probably was like holy awsome tune!!...thats how i was.I loved it ...it was very differnt in feel and sound.had a very differnt appeal to it then other songs!!..his other might suck.but ohh well we are talking about sandstorm...and i read somewhere that it was the biggest crowd lifting tune of 2000...so it cant be that bad... Darude was a mp3 music producer on the internet...and got his song Sandstorm noticed through a amature mp3 site!...so got to give him props for that !!
