Breathing - Push dub (Extended Re-Edit) OMG

Well, I've been away for a while, and haven't had much chance to play around with tunes, but I just got my hands on the original Push dub - and its good. Dark, moody - great melody - but then it builds, and degresses after that build. The melody is lost and the song - whislt still a great tune, loses something.
I decided to take some time and play around to Re-edit this great piece of music so that it made better use of the Airwave melody. Up until 7:00, its all the same. The same build, same degression - then I have the song build and build from that main beat, and I bring back the melody over the heart of the song as the beat is renewed.
This song clocks in at 10:38 - I certainly wouldn't call it my own (its just a careful juggling of elements and reconstitution of what is already there). I have had some insane good feedback for this song, and hope to make it available to anyone that asks. If you are at all interested, drop me a line. I promise you won't be dissapointed. This song may very well give you a heart attack.

i agree the push remix degresses too soon leaving us empty after all that build. your re-edit is a perfect idea. this is the way it should have been remixed for its 2003 day view. the only thing with the re edit is its get very loud towards the end (almost blew up my speakers) and i can tell you added the melody to the beats (sounds a bit distorted). if only you had the original push mix to remix, it would have been perfect.
any chance you can send this remix to Push himself so he can remix the song again. :conf: |

yes, i noticed it's getting rather loud too.. harmonically it doesn't sound that good either, what with the bassline not going along with the melody, it makes it a little chaotic.. nice job overall, though, reconstructions and re-edits are not that easy to do.. |
