I've passed up many, many quality DJ's on thursday nights because the amount of vacation days I have left are waning.
But...
I think that is about to change.

God... What a wicked night...
Got home at 5:20, took a couple hour nap... got up and went to work.
Came home, I promised everyone that I'd be awake when they got home from work yesterday at 6:00 PM... and here it is 4:45 am later... I guess I enjoyed the night more than I thought :)
Chris/Joey, good to party with you. Even if it's thursday and no one was gonna be there;)
As for a tracklist... yea well I suck... a lot of remixes/on-the-fly remixes to tracks I "know" but dont' know... I guess this means it's time for round two when they come back in July :)
... I haven't enjoyed a night like that in a while. Even the occasional crap speakers in Transit didn't matter so much. And the place was packed :) Dunno... apparently chicago has an emnity against scott bond. So we ended up missing the first hour of DD's 4-hr set standing in line... oh well, I might not have made it to work if I'd been there for all 4 hours.
In no particular order:
Sander Kleinenberg ft. Miss Bunty - Work To Do
Coldplay - Clocks (The heaven and earth division remix)
was dropped...
thinking of the vocal tracks of the evening.
Another track with Madonna's Vogue vocals was dropped.
Another track with the vocalist from Madison Avenue it sounded like. Perhaps Puff Daddy (that's what pork is telling me)...
Also there was a killer track at the end with some guitar riffs that chris and everyone else seemed to really enjoy. I'm gonna see what I can dig up.
I *wish* Dimitri from paris wasnt' on the same ticket as DD, as I really wanted to see him more than the 10 minutes or so I spent over in the blue room. He looked very agitated...perhaps because he was headlining with DD but in a e room. Or maybe he's just a more serious DJ or something. Anyways I hope that guy comes back to the states sometime soon. Been a fan of his for years.. and last night I just was in the mood for DD :cool: |
