is it illegal to host livesets? I mean on a website.. who owns the copyright to a liveset? who might complain?

hmmmm not too sure about this, but i can rememebr that PVD has refused to let his sets be broadcast at certain times so perhaps the approval of the DJ doing the set and also possibly the club or party throwers...

or maybe the radio that broadcasted it..

generally hosting an album would be 10 times worse than hosting a liveset? what do you think?

a liveset is promotion for the dj/club .. (ok pvd doesn't need any promotion I guess!)

yeah i guess if you mean that you want to broadcast a set that is broadcasting on another station (lets just say ID&T) and you want to just use their broadcast on your on site and call it your broadcast...i don't think that will work?? i don't think they would be willing to share if you know what i mean?? and sometimes broadcasts are exclusive to one site. i don't know, but yeah i guess you would probably need to talk to that station.

as far as what i was saying before...if you want to broadcast a signal from a club, you would probably need to get there permission since the sounds inside the club are for paying audiences...i.e. you need to pay them for the service...
