This message is for you dave, since I know you check out what's going on here from time to time.. as well as anyone else that would like to add in their feelings on this.

okay, I know there are a lot of people that really like the gabriel and dresden bootleg of clocks.. but of any gabriel and dresden track I have ever heard, I like this and would play this a hundred times more. None of the other remixxes of this track even come close to the vibe and uniqueness that the G&D provides. The G&D sound overlayed with clocks in the way that it was done, gives a HUGE result.

So.. my question..

Is there any possibility that someone is going to push on getting this hit released? Ibiza this summer would be swamped with people playing this I bet. It would be such a waste if it never got released.. For a future anthem to never hit the shelves...

hope to hear some encouraging news, or some kind of explanation as to what big roadblock would prevent this being approved for release.

cheers and thanks for reading,

i think you'll find that this was a live bootleg or something and isn't due for release, everyone has to deal with it tho so don't be too upset

That's why I pressed on the issue of 'Is there any possibility that someone is going to push on getting this hit released?' if it was due for release, or even close, none of us would be worried about it.. when something causes such a big reaction, it seems like maybe it's time to reasess the matter, and that hopefully what ever it takes could get worked out. That track would seriously sell.

We had this problem in 2000, there were limited white labels of a lost witness remix of coldplays trouble, and they blocked a release of it, so if history goes how it has before then I don't think we'll see one, but I could be wrong, but like trouble, clocks remixes are so big amongst the dance community, coldplay are worried that they'll outsell their original, which leads to the blocking, petty yes, costing them money, yes, but I wouldn't cross your fingers yet mate

this rmx is quality but i still like the moninca nichols rmx the best.

It's Michelle Nicols, and yes, it's the best (no offense Mr. Dresden).

well, i am pretty happy with the reconstruction i have

maybe i didn't notice the reconstruction, but it sounds like a full rip to me.

yeah, you can always burn the full sounding reconstruction to a cdr if its never released :)

meh, screw the bootleg, i want the proper track

Gabriel & Dresden - I Gotta Thank....

released! thatz the one wifout the clocks vocals. as far as i kno the other one was done live, itz not really a g&d remix of clocks, but rather their follow up to Lament with the clocks vocals over it. If u want the instrumental though, be patient, itz coming on SAW Recordings.

J:SiN ;)

the original wiped the floor with any remix end of story.

i'm all for the remixes tho', its just they don't come close to coldplays own.
