Program to help me sort out my pictures on my hardrive.

i'm wanting to get a program that helps me sort my pics which basically i want to delete and find all the doubles or even triples of pics i have on my hardrive.
i don't want to burn it onto a disc whne there are pics that are doubles know what i mean. there has to be something that will help me spot those pics and help me organize everything |

we've all been there, don't worry.
but seriously, you couldn't really search the entire tree for similar filenames if you wanted to do this effectively. you'd need something like filecompare. there're some linux apps for this kind of stuff. you'd need to compare filesizes, etc. but it's quite hard to do this.
i don't have an ultimate solution for you. |

Do a search for a program called 'hunter'.

It's a windows app that will check for duplicates etc. not just based on file name but a CRC of the file... eg it'll find identical images of Jenna Jameson even if they are named differently. Works really quickly and handles multiple folders and gigs easily.
Can even do a csv report.. etc. |

| Why dont you just do it manually , usually pix under <40 kb are small and poor, just save all the good stuff like donkey rape material and tranny the granny dvd's :P |
