Then again, I'd rather ride in that than in this half-an-hour-waiting-for-buses system here.

Hein, hein, it doesn't look that hard! :thepirate
Que faites-tu l¡ì§³, anyway? :toocool:

rien.. juste appréciée la vie (:

It's not at all hard, only the levels can be a bit confusing..
I just pointed it out for comparison.. at least Paris metro is interesting. FTTC is nothing. [Moscow! Now, that's a subway!]

And this Paris metro map doesn't even show their RER network, the connected suburban underground.

Werd! Moscow subway = subway, magnificent architecture, shopping mall and anything else you can possibly think ok.

Metro - one of the things I miss the most about Moscow.

lol .. more people are taking an interest in messed up subway systems than the meetup .. after tomorrow I'm just going to rename this thread to its proper title, "Confusing Transit Systems" :)

^^^^^^^^ heh, London Tube was fun though, rush hour, my god the masses of people! Also liked the fact that to get to the train you had take an escalater literally into the bowels of the earth! It was so deep!!
brunette
I got lost in The Tube once.. well, I was only 13 :p

but it's definitely not deeper than St. Petersburg's (Russia), it goes below the river.. it's the deepest in the world ;)

We were exploring :) I wasn't alone, this Neapolitan guy was with me; we were trying to get to Madame Tussaud.. but went the wrong way and ended up in the middle of Gay pride parade (our first time in London too.. what a culture shock!)

Yeah, they smoke in the subways.. it's very specific for Spain [history lesson] when Francisco Franco was in power he forbade smoking in public completely, on the streets as well (kinda like Toronto will soon heh) and then when he died in 1975, everybody took up smoking.. just because they could [/history lesson] (:
