LFC buys right back

Liverpool Football Club has today confirmed that they have agreed terms with Fulham FC for Republic of Ireland International Steve Finnan.
Chief Executive Rick Parry told Liverpoolfc.tv: "We have agreed terms with both the club and the player and plan to complete the transfer at the end of this month.
"Steve is a very talented player who we were eager to bring to Anfield, we are pleased that he has agreed to join us and look forward to seeing him in action next season."
Finnan will become Gerard Houllier's first summer signing when he officially puts pen to paper on his Anfield contract and will provide genuine competition for Jamie Carragher for the right back berth.

| I think finnan is a good solid signing for liverpool but i just think houliier has no clue in general transfers buying totally unproven foreigners for £10m and such also liverpools defence is always reasonable surely he'd be better opff buying some wingers and adding to the attack |

Yeh i'm not a fan of caragher and the fact he gets in the england squad at times is just ughhh well dunno what to say on that.
Finnan is a good signing but what about the wingers why is berger leaving basically the closet thing liverpool have to a winger and nobody is being brought in to deal with this problem. |

| oh geeze ! Liverpool adding to their defence, god help us all !! buy someone with at least a BIT of attacking flare for god sake, Harry Kewell wont ruin his career and go to boring boring Liverpool , thats forsure ! |

as you clearly dont know nothing, Jaime Carragher the right back that played this season, dosent own a bit of offensive capabilites steve finnan does.
and if liverpool is soo "boring" whouldnt harry kewell help?
and as for ruining his carrer i dont think it will be worse, especially since he is coming from LEEDS!

Finnan seems to be a good signing, but I doubt that Liverpool will get Duff or Kewell.

like he is being soo serious....
i can accept good arguments but his is completly ridiculus and childish. and as for this thread where as a new more attacking right back coming too liverpool is viewed as something positive, i dont know where he gets his arugments from.
oh and kewell being a boyhood liverpool fan might get him too anfield ;) tho i really am hoping for duff more than kewell. |

IMO I would prefer to sign Kewell, I think he is brilliant although Duff is more of an actual left-winger whereas Kewell would prefer to sit behind the strikers, to hell with it I say we buy both!!!!
btw Finnan is excellent signing and will sure up an already class defence, but WE MUST BUY ATTACKING MIDFIELDER |

| despite who liverpool have been linked with i doubt they will get champions league next season, although they got capital of culture for basically not qualifying this year heh. sum1 needs 2 give owen a good slapping |
