I have Stanton Str8-80s (I'm also poor, I'm a college student) and love them. If you're a beginning DJ, 99% of errors are your fault, not the tables. Sure, it'd be nice to have technics, but these tables ($500 a pair) will do quite nicely for your first couple years. I have no complaints about them. |

I have a Str8-60 which I'm no longer using. It is usable, but doesn't have much torque, and I have since upgraded. It is direct drive. the Str8-50 is belt drive and has more torque, but I'm not sure how well it holds its pitch (I only tried it brifly in the store). |

I have a pair of Str8-50s.... I'm actually amazed at how well they perform for a belt drive. The torque isn't great as was mentioned above, and the pitch can waver a little sometimes, but I think they're the best around in that price range. You get what you pay for, of course. Now that my skills are getting there I'm starting to long for something better. Unfortunately, I can't afford it (which it why I ended up with these in the first place) |

I have stanton str8-60s and I love them, they have very good torque for there price, they look great and I am 110% pleased, I never regretted buying them
and to the rest, stop trying to act leet ffs :/ whoever trys to talk about other decks he ALWAYS gets the same responce about how everything sucks and techs > * so save up blah blah blah... it's always the same story stop advertising technics ffs, not everyone has money for techs. And sorry to break this to you but techs are 25 years old and panasonic is adding new stupid features that basically copy other decks and trys to sell them as a new model. Stanton is way ahead than techs right now and personally if I had the dosh I would buy either str8-100s or str8-150s instead of techs, they have served their purpose but it seems that panasonic has been sitting there bringing in money without lifting a finger and not giving a f@k and now they are way behind in the race, stanton has taken the lead, now all it takes is people to realise that the techs are not all that anymore. |
