| I just finished watching this movie yesterday for the 17th time and i'm still amaze how cool the movie is. fast paced and even though in french, its not irritating and Monica Belluci if fookin hot!!!!!!!! is there a movie out there similar or going to come out with a set of the olden times and action. martial arts, gunfights, swordfights |

| I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Monica Bellucci is dead sexy in this movie grrrrrrrrrrrr! My only criticism is the slow mode rotate camera action shot is over used (director must be a big matrix fan). |

hmmm nice try by the french but the best martial arts movies star asians. (no offense, but look at like jean claude van dam those fight scenes are excruciatingly slow and stiff, Keanu reeves fighting(i realize he's like part hawaiian or whatever but he still sucks) etc...)if you got a film to prove me wrong then please post it.
i'd recommend some older films by jet li (you said olden times but you didn't specify where or when)
Once upon a time in china
Wong Fei Hung
Fong Sai Yuk
Donnie Yen has some good films... can't think of their names right now.
Gun fights.... Check out movies by Chow Yun Fat
A Better Tommorow I & 2 (these movies were pretty gangster)
Hard Boiled
THe Killer
hehe HK film junky |

| thanks for the recommendation. but i already hate jet li and jackie chan for their crap movies. besides i'm not into much all asian wing chun kung fu fighting. brotherhood of the wolf was martial arts with brawling factors. not blocking and stiff moves. |

Hard Boiled had soooo many gunfights it eventually got boring
Asian movies tend to have the best fight scenes: fist of legend, legend of the drunken master, etc. Yea the plots are weak and the acting sucks but damn can asians ever coreograph good fights.
I liked Brotherhood of the Wolf too, as someone else said it was a little excessive with the slow motion, but still good. |

| If you dont like Asian fighting, you might try the Blade movies, but you've probably already seen them. |

Best martial arts fight scenes in asian movies? Hm.. Definitelly number one comes to Red Lotus Temple (1993 one)... The second comes to Hero (2003; which is amazing movie, story and image wise, not sure why ppl in america didn't liked it), and third would be Tai-chi Master (also called "Twin Brothers" in US.. stupid name)...
If you want a movie with similar feel to Brotherhood of Wolves, definitelly check out Vidoq, a similar french production (very godly too).. And as you might probably know, BoW was mostly inspired by Sleepy Hollow, which is also to see if you haven't seen it... Those two movies are probably your best bet to have as much fun as with BoW.. ;) |
