Should i buy a Digital Camera now? or should i wait...

with technology moving so fast, with my luck i'll buy a digital camera and then in about a month, my camera will be considered old and outdated.
i still have that extra dough lying around and i want a good digital camera with a good longshot zoom. and that plays mpegs. i like sony but i mgiht have to go with trustworthy names that have been making cameras for billions of centuries like olympus, cannon, kodak, and other camera giants. |

the story with technology is, it will ALWAYS be out of date soon. so anytime is good to buy, with the exception of brand new technology, like 6Mp cameras, any thing you get is going to be a relatively good deal.
i reccomend Olympus, they have great lenses, the most important part, and great features and value. |

A general rule of thumb I follow, when buying any computer-related component.. is to wait, wait, wait, and only buy it when you'll really need it or start using it.
Technology moves so fast, that if you buy it now & only seriously start using the camera for an event a few months down the line.. in that time the same $$ for that camera could have bought you the next model up.. Or save you some cash getting the same model you originally wanted. |

I bought a refurb kodak 4900 with 4 mega pixels for $300.
If ur going to use it post pics on the web or send emails just buy one cause u cant notice any loss of quality at web resolution.

I just got an olympus stylus 300. Its great, its all weather and its real tiny. Somthing i can just put in my pocket and forget about.
Oh ya and the pics look good to:D |
