| hi, ive had total annihilation (ta) and completely both sides, ive had it for ages and all that have completed it will agree, its an awesome game! i recently started playing it again in the skirmishes and i found the one of the add-on packs 2day "The Core Contingency" for only £5 ($7) which is very cheep! i bought it. i got home, installed it, took a while but who cares about that, once installed, it gave me the instructions to install the map editor. i closed all the install proggie and restarted (i normally do coz some things need it and dont tell u). i waited till system had rebooted and ran the game, i clicked on campaign and it asked for disc 2, i put in disc 2 and the campaigns where all there, arm and core, and the core contingency campaigns on both sides and this extra one for the arm. i click one and clicked start, it sed "illegal opperation", involing the file "totala.exe" which is the total annihilation game file. which now and then, ive uninstalled, reinstalled, both the game of total annihilation AND the core add-on and done everything i can thing of, rebooted countless times and still everytime i TRY and play my new missions, "illegal opperation" the game runs fine, the standard missions and all, but nothinging involving the cd i bought 2day works, (ive only tried the new missions tho) im asking coz hopefully theres some1 out there whos got the core contingency pack and PLEASE help me! have i done summit wrong? are cavedog aware of this and released a patch for it on the net or summit? could i PLEASE have some feedback as i love this game and really wana play the new stuff and ive had it hours now and still i havent even seen a new unit! PLEASE HELP ME!!! |
