I actually liked the melody and change of notes in the bass. I think you have to do something with the delay on the bass though. Either put a highpass filter on the delay, or turn it down all together. Maybe a bit more punch on the kick drum as well. Maybe you could try adding a second melody to get some variation. Good luck finishing it:)
