ive been around a while on these forums and now have senior addict status...anyway i hardly ever start threads in this section coz theyre often lame n pointless things to discuss...anyway this is my first one..
We all know we love the music we call trance...assuming that most ppl here r either teenagers or early 20s to early 30s people (i wouldnt go beyond 35 plus to define the target auduience of this forum), how many more years do u guys realistically expect to keep listening to n loving these sounds...clubland is gonna fade out for me at some point in life and downloading dj sets and keeping up with the latest djs and their tracklists is fine for now but seriously it cannot go on forever... so sometimes i wonder if trance is like that too perfect soulmate who never lasts forever..fill the thread with whateva thoughts...
Edited: Remember be honest with yourself when answering the question of how long....if u say FOREVER ure missing the point of the thread |

you got us all figured out;
we're in denial that one day, we will be out of fashion. rusty. old-skool. past-generation material.
then again,
that goes for everything else we might consider 'modern'. |

i'd say i'll listen to it as long as i live but i'm not going to be so enthusiastic about it when i'm old. i mean that i'm not going to hang out here and get all the new releases as soon as possible when i'm fifty or something, but i'll still listen to it.
oh and i'm sure that i'll move on to more chilled out stuff when i get older, but not completely. knows how it'll be! |

I'm hoping trance is gonna evolve into the next classical music, then i can get away with liking it when i'm old. And i can tell my grandkids how i was avin' it when tiesto dropped magik journey.
So, fohrevah... |

Trance and house music is not a age thing for me, but a spiritual, body and soul thing. As long as those great tunes keep coming this boy will be listening to them.
This is also why I buy the tunes I like on vinyl. Music is such a big part of my life that I want to be able to spit through it over and over again to taint the sweet memories ;) ;) ;) |

| I have listned to alot of music, and I consider trance the best. Just like everyone does with whatever they listen to, I smile at some songs, tear up at others, fondly recall memories from still others and cant imagine listening to anything else. Ive listened for 4-5 years and this music has been with me from walking to class to how i spend my college nights. Even if I were to move on to something else, trance music has captured a part of my soul that can never be lost.... |

| You bring up a scary topic I like to avoid but I will be honest and say that even though Trance may not be around forever, music will evolve and the fact that we are all on these forums is because we like the cutting edge of music, so even if music changes into something else I think most of us will keep up with the latest changes simply because we are all obsessed with the future. |
