hey people,
Thank you to all who downloaded Deluge of trance! It's debuet @ no. 2 on the trance charts on mp3.com.au and no. 13 over all!
not a bad way to start the day!! :lol:
anyone who hasn't downloaded it please do.. i want to get to no. 1 :D
and also check out meh other tracks while your there.. close @ 8am has just been re uploaded and released after mp3.com.au stuffed it up..

You should try telling people to download it cause it is a good track (havent listened to it myself), not because you want to be number 1. Just cause it reaches number 2 or even 1 for that matter doesn't neccessarily mean it is a good track. I am not trying to bash ya, just giving ya a bit of friendly advice. Oh, and dont go off on people because they don't want to download your track. |

I did a search on your name, you have posted a few topics about your music, but not once have you reviewed someone else's track.
So heres the deal, You go and download a few tracks from this forum by the many talented artists here, and post a few reviews. Then tomorrow I will listen to your track and give you some feedback. Deal ?
I'm not bashing you or your music, I would just like to see people give back what they expect to recieve.

1, i'm not going off @ anyone.. i just think that alot of people don't like others gloating.. and if i have the goal of getting to no1 then thats my goal, and no judgement should be passed on that.
I'm proud of the position i've reached and i have a goal to get to no1. If that is a problem with some, then i'm sorry but i'm not changing my asperations.
also, i'm not going to sit here and tell people that it's a great track. That is not 1) in my interest and 2) not me. I will not say it is great or bad.. thats for others to decide. If they chose to download it or not.. so be it.. but to make your choice to not download it coz i have a goal is something i don't understand.

Point taken, it's true i have not posted about anyone elses tracks. Looking at i shouldn't expect people to look @ my music when i don't look @ theirs. Deal accepted... and from now on i will be more of an active member.. |

ok here i go..
i'm only new to this forum but am veteran on a lot of other 'production' type forums.. and on there it too is like "review some then get reviewed". anyway. listening now.. (if i give any bad comments then its not cos i think im better, i just wanna help) and when i review i like to do it whilst the song plays..
ok.. 1:30 in.. i know this isnt a style i like so this review will be biased.. so far its all fitting.. levels are nice.. vocal and bassline compliment each other nicely.. the main synth line just came in.. it needs some more weight in it.. maybe stick a flange on it?
ok, 2:35.. secondary synth lead just came in.. compliments nicely.. i like how it portamentos.
hmm now for the breakdown.. sounds like thats a dud note at 3:50 and again at 4:03.. ouch, im cringing everytime. you need to flatten that a semitone i think.. (cant be bothered turning on my keyboard to find out exactly what you need there) :conf: ok beat just came back in at around 5:18.. not much of a buildup.. i'd be expecting more of a buildup or something that'll really get the crowd going but when the beat drops i'm feeling more like "oh.. this again".. where's the buildup?? you have a breakdown, but not much else..
ok 6:45.. you bring back the original theme.. i like how this has come back again... maybe couldve been better if it was the previous theme then suddenly back to this theme again without some sort of "progression" stage in between.... (ok, i know what im talking about. sorry if i couldnt make this clearer hehe)
ok the usual outro.. thats all good..
ok i guess overall this isnt my style of music so its hard to say.. but thats a seroiusly dud note you got in there.. overall tho you know what youre doing.. the song just doesnt jump out at me with anything exciting.. keep at it! |

That's good to hear. Because for the time spent with each song, they deserve more feedback that they presently get.
