Destination (and just about any party from the DC Skillz crew) rocks! The vibe reminds me of the best nights of Buzz @ Nation! Destination feels to me more like a rave than a club. The line-ups in the main room are always techno, house, or hardstyle DJs. Most of the DJs are usually from the local or national scene. The DC Skillz DJs are tight, especially DJ iLLuSion and Mugoth the Destroyer! As far as big names...BT, Bad Boy Bill, Micro, DJ Irene, and Keoki are among the DJs that have been at Destination.
Destination happens at Tunnel, a warehouse-type club near NY Avenue, NE. The area around DC Tunnel may look sketchy, but it isn't any worse than Navy Yard (the area around Nation). I would suggest carpooling or getting there early if you want a good parking spot, though.
IMO...it's worth checking out. When I want to hit a place other than Glow, that's where I go on Saturdays! :D |

I've heard tons of good things about this party, great sound system, massive dance floor, good DJ booth, etc. I've been meaning to check it out some time, but haven't been able to yet.
My two main problems with it: It farthest from where I live...it is past Dream in NE..might as well be in maryland (near PG county :nervous: )...and there is no metro
and second, they never bring in DJs that I give a crap about seeing, it's always DnB or house...and I loathe DnB.. |

| I was there for Mayhem w/ Dj Micro, Anabolic Frolic, and DJ iLLuSion. I thought it was kinda cool, but when I was there most of the people were just standing around and not really dancing at all. I also thought it was too bright in there. DJ iLLuSion ing rocked out and was cool as hell at the end of the night. He came down from the dj booth and was chillin with the crowd. I had a good time and met some cool people but Glow is just more my style for Sat. nights. If you're into hardstyle or DnB though definitely check it out cause it's a good time. |

| I was there on Saturday to see Mea and Keoki. Also went to Glow to see Armin. DJ Mea's set was awesome. I didn't get to hear much of Keoki's though. :( Had to run to see Armin!! :) Had a great time at both clubs. I believe that the Tunnel is an AWESOME venue!! You could fit a lot of people in there. That's where I'd want Tiesto, PVD or any DJ that brings a huge crowd. Lots of room and very nice decor! |

and I loathe DnB......
Well said beema :)
I've been hearing a lot about it too, it does seem worth checking out, but GLOW is just too good to miss these days. Maybe if GLOW brings back D:Fuse, I'll be forced to skip and have to go see whats up @ Tunnel.

I'd have to agree. Destination was fun and I met some super chill people, but the venue is so large that everyone is really spread out and the back of the dance floor is literally empty (or was when i was there)(which can also be a good thing). Personally I like Glow's setup, where everyone is close to eachother on the dance floor. IMO it makes it easier to feed off eachother's energy and to feed off the DJs energy. The other thing was that the cover was $25 when I was there and I'd much rather spend $15 @ Glow than $25 at tunnel. If you're into the club/glam (of course it isn't all high fashion at Glow, but it obviously exists) kinda scene then I'd say stick to Glow. Destination is more of a rave, i.e. kids wearing "kandy" and sitting around massaging eachother while they roll face. Not that there's anything wrong with that and not like people aren't rolling face at glow, but it's more apparent at Destination (at least i thought so) and there's obvious differences between a rave and a club and if you prefer one or the other then that might help you make your decision. Either way, if you're not into what's going on at Glow one saturday night and are up for a different type of experience by all means check it out, you may find yourself liking it better, who knows. |
