im full getting the ing s tryign to learn how to scratch hey need some help.
1. does anyone know of any scratch records that have nice easy samples (as in its easy to get a nice sound out of them) such as that woocha or woohaa or whatever its called/sounds like? also id preferr it to be really close to the beggining of the record like within the first 5 samples because i have a heavy hand still and i spend more time tryign to find the sample againthat actually using it!
2. are there any scratch tutorial movie and rec combos so that i can see what can be done with the sounds that i have to play with. i havea scratch video but dont have any of the samples the guy uses so i cant really learn off it hey. |

Search for some videos from the DMC n ITF championships. I have about a gig of em and they're awesome, would be a good place to start. DJ Qbert (insane turntablist) did a scratching tutorial video which covers the setting up of ur decks to basic and more advanced tricks. |

You're looking for battle break records. Those are records with samples and loops specially made for scratching (they have deeper grooves also to improve skip resistance.
Look for records by Dj Qbert and Dj Rectangle. And anything on the Dirtstyle label in general.
One record that immediately springs to my mind is Bionic Booger Breaks by Qbert (and his Super Seal series are famous too). You'll definatelly find that ahhhh fresh sample on it :) |
