| There's really only one thing I can say about this subject (for all of you living in America you know what I mean)....Jerry Falwell is nothing but an ultra-conservative . All he can do is spout propaganda and act like he gives two s about anything besides his own party. And let's not get started with that stupid right-wing Christian Coalition. The members of that are more conservative then Jesse Helms, Strom Thurman and and that other old guy that I can remember rolled up into one. I just hate seeing like this. When i say " like this" i don't mean people suppourting Israel. If they want to suppourt Israel, by all ean let them, theire actions are protected by the Amendments. But, This dumb Falwell makes all of us Christians living in America seem like ultra-conservative bible-beaters. I swear, this guy reminds me sooo much of the leaders of the Waco and Heaven's Gate cults (whose names I can't remember off the top of my head). :whip: :whip: :whip: :whip: :mad: |

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand things, Jews do not regard Jesus as their Mesiah. Only Christians do that - Jews are still waiting for theirs. |

| I don't understand why the ultra-christians are right wing. Jesus is all about selling all of you belongings and helping the poor, but the conservatives want to cut back funding for the poor and give tax cuts that favor the rich. I don't understand!:conf: |

I'm afraid you do not see. My post said nothing about jews killing arabs. It was meant as an enlightening comment. The curse of religion is not the religion itself, but its misconception amongs its followers, and - as your post pointed out - among followers of other religions. |

i agree that this is an interesting article ..
i always just find it so hard to believe that some in the US would lobby so strongly for such action simply due to religious purposes. i also agree with occrider's comments about how news like this always seems to make headlines given its controversial remarks. it just amazes me how so many people can be persuaded by people like Falwell..

They're right wing because they're conservative themselves. They identigy eaisly with the conservatives. The ultra-christians don't really care about tax cuts or fiscal policy. All they care about is that they can spout they beleifes and brainwash people, and that the Middle East will eventually destroy itslef so that Jesus can come back to Earth. |

I see something evolving here. Religion and Politics, probobably 2 of the most critical, controversial issues. Each one has a belief. One thing I dont think is right is.. religious leaders telling the gov't what to do. I mean, if one is religious and really understands the situation, things happen for a reason, and for the christians that believe on the second coming, Jesus will not say" Oh The Israeli president told the jewish group to move out and to take the tanks out from the Palestine territories etc etc ..so Im not going back now " Things sometimes happen for a reason, but a prophecy is a prophecy, and they wont change no matter what. ( Thats for the believers ". Bush nor Sharom will change the prophecys.. we are not here to MAKE the prophecy if ya know what I mean.
I dont offend anyone who believes on something else. I respect.. but something I wont tollerate is someone cursing over peoples beliefs. And Cirus King.. dood, just learn to respect.. if you dont believe it fine. Id be glad to hear on what you believe on and talk about it. But for the sake of it.. you dont have to be cursing and acting all SMART ASS and crap.. know what I mean?!?! In a good way.
Christianism< Is not a religion, its for all of those that believe in Jesus and the second coming.. theres so many Christian religions. So generalizing what a Christian religion does, does not mean that christians as a whole want to do the same.;)

In my ideology..... i think religion is disrespectful to mankind....so i have..like any other person here, the right to express my opinions about the "second coming" just like those religious preachers do. And i believe that JESUS IS NOT COMING BACK!!!!!!!
