*sigh*

Another one of technofans' rather petty needs to hate on something that isn't as "underground" as themselves.Once again,PLUR goes down the drain.Music is a universal language the brings people together?Right.

trance because its so commercial and cheezy, techno is underground and not easily accessible. Its two scene completley different one from each other and from a techno dj point of perspective: trance :)

and the one who said trance sucks is Armand Van Helden ;)

Trance and tech are so similar. I love both. I don't understand how people who claim they love trance can say that they hate techno. Most of those trance DJs that you love spin it. How can you limit yourself to such a specific genre? And I don't think that anyone should be calling anyone ugly here.

limit yourself? who said listening to techno is expanding yourself?? expand yourself by listening to something non-electronic!
i like trance but i dont like techno at all. hm yeah maybe some dj's spin it.. so? if they spin it, we like it??
i will never ever compare those 2 genres! ewwww.
long live the short-sighted! =<

djs are people like you and me, and they're entitled to their own opinion. so live with it and grow the up!

techno is one of those genres you have to make yourself like.

Mr Kirk
Techno producers and DJs criticise trance because it makes a mockery of the electronic music that they love. Trance to them is what DJ Sammy and Milk Incorporated are to you.
Carl Craig once described trance and the rave scene as 'A thorn in the side of electonic music'. I can see what he's saying, and if anyone knows the score it's Carl Craig.

Bollocks.
Some techno is like this, but some is really accessible. Have a listen to Underground Resistance, The Martian, Derrick May, etc
Detroit techno is easily the best type of dance music. Carl Craig, for example, is among the best modern music has to offer. If I ever had to a guy, it would be him.
