Technics in reverse

| Someone once told me that you could spin a technics in reverse. Is this true, if so how do you do it?:thepirate |

| I know you can get a kit to modify them, so that If you double tap the start button quick, It'll play the record in reverse. |

| Yeah theres a DIY mod kit for it that works as above, you can find places that sell it on the net with google. Only problem is you'll void your warranty. Its a nice feature to have but has limited use.. if you want decks that play in reverse buy ones that are made that way. |

| What's the use of playing in reverse? Cuz I've got a stanton that can, but I would have a clue how/what to do with it? It just doesn't sound nice :conf: |

i used the reverse option to play the record backwards for 4 or 8 beats to build up a kick. With this option on the turntable, the beats will still be beatmatched compared to trying to spin the record backwards to get that effect with your finger. . . which is nearly impossible to do.
Also, if you are remixing music and want to add the backward record effect, its better to use the song that you are remixing compared to some random backward record fruity loop. Doesnt sound all important, but the lil things count. |
