like early kraftwerk or something this is amazing, great lyrics, not done on a comp but a drum machine and a synth, no spcial fx, raw and great. really love this tune!

'Give Up' is a great album, "Natural Anthem" is the best track on it...the guys also call themselves "Death Cab For Cutie", but the albums under that guise aren't as good.

DCC rocks your ass dude, you just don't understand it I guess. Lots of meaning and emotion behind those songs...

The Postal Service is nifty group. A bit cheesey at times, but original? Natural Anthem is a hell of a tune, DnB-ish. Hopefully it'll show some mainstream heads the light.

Actually only the singer from Death Cab is in The Postal Service, joining the producer Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel).

And their album in indeed great. Recomended to everyone.

i also agree. the postal service is dope. but, like most emo, some of the lyrics are cheesey... but whatever. i dig it.

I don't think I could compare this so closely to Kraftwerk, as it strikes me as something influenced by developments following Kraftwerk in the 80s... new-wave and synthpop and all sorts of things like that. The tempo is ripe up there in a fast range, so yes, the beats are in proximity to DnB -- BTW, funny thing, so is the way they perform "Living Da Vida Loca" in Shrek 2.

The melody reminds me of some other famous song... can't remember which one at the moment. Anyone?

Techemo . . . :)

call me cheesey, but my favorite song on the album is Nothing Better. then Such Great Heights. followed closely by the District Sleeps Alone Tonight. :toothless

Sometimes listening to the lyrics ruins the entire song. Some are spot on, but the rest are so random it's like wtf?

Such Great Heights
Sleeping In
Brand New Colony
Natural Anthem

HAHAHA... perfect example:

will someone please call the surgeon
who can crack my ribs
and repair this broken heart
that you're deserting... for better company

[not that bad... pretty nice actually.. but then]

i can't accept that it's over
and i will block the door
like a goalie tending the net
in the third quarter... of a tie game rivalry

wtffffffff????? hahaha
