| I think the search engine should definitely be able to search for certain 3-character strings, I realize it makes sense effor-wise to shut them out but PVD or 'van' in PVD or others must be pretty popular as a search. It is annoying when you want to search for something pertaining to PVD and it won't let you, then you have to go through 'Paul' searches and sort out the 'VD's from the 'O's or 'Tall's... |

i wonder whether or not it's because it puts too much load on a server returning so many possible queries ..
i guess you can still use the wildcard asterisks (*) for now to do 3 characters .. |

| if you look at the number of common 3 letter words there are such as and, for, one, two etc and how many times they are mentioned in a thread, having the search engine having to sort through them to find a specific 3 lettered word would create more drain on the server, which is allready under stress from the high amound of people using the forums. in a ideal world it would happen, but at the moment it cant happen, if the min search word was reduced to say 2 letters then it would make the forums significantly slower when a search is conducted |

| i hav no trouble finding pvd tracklists. If u want to search for paul van dyk at mayday 2003 for example just type "Paul Mayday" Ok ur gonna get about 3 or 4 pages more than u usually would, but it only takes a second to find the thread u need... the real problem tho comes when searching for Jon O Bir threads  |
