| if you have a switch for phono and line just click that to cut out the words...i think it would sound better than just using the cross fader imo :) hope that helps:D |

bringing this topic back as i absolutely HATE the vocals on some yves deruyter tracks, the rebel especially and i think the track is great otherwise! so i want to get rid of the annoying vocals somehow? what should i do? any good ideas? should i just to a re-edit of the tune with my computer somehow making the vocals go blurry or what!?!
:D |

| i would put on a track on the other deck, and each time he says an obscenity i would crossfade over and scratch with the other track so it sorta blurs out the words. Don't have to crossfade fully.. halfway is good too |

| Was the instrumental of ing Society ever released on vinyl? I'd pay a good bit to get my hands on it. |

im making a mix and i really like the song by reloop called ing society but... the only problem is that i cant get that played on the radio. he only says ..."bull and the ing society..." a couple of times but does anyone have any ideas of how to sensor it in a smooth way? |
Just get on the mic and cough. I am sure it will sound slick. |

talk about resurecting an old post... i think there are ways to use DSP to get rid of it but it never works well. i am thinking like... winamp plugins etc but i think if you want to remove all the vocals from a track you would, at the same time remove alot of the bandwith and even if you are successful at removing the full vocal that removes alot of the song also... try finding a dub i guess... |

i was thinking of ing up the lyrics somehow like in
holden & thompson - nothing (93 returning mix)
or something, but i think it won't work! getting a dub version is not possible i think which sucks. i was thinking of making a re-edit of it, but then again i have never produced anything, so it wouldn't really work!:(
i guess i'll just have to ditch that track then and play something else! i think there should be a law that every track should be released as an instrumental version too on the same release!:whip: :D |

| I would never censor a track... it's just stupid IMO. |

sometimes you have to depending on where you play out. i have a radio show and sometimes you really have to or you can get into alot of trouble. censoring is a very particular situation, i doubt anyone is talking about censoring their music all the time or something.
skip doenst want the vocals so he was wondering how to dub the vocal out of a track.
though in the holden and thompson track i think its technially arleady a dub version beuase the full words are in a sense "dubbed out" either way i kinda like the vocals but to each his own |
