i know how the new g5 sounds great and all, but you should all know that theyre many programs out there that arent compatible with the mac os, programs like kazaa and . oh yeah, whatever you do dont get a mac laptop, cuz the power connections up after like six months, and then you have to go pay a whole load of money to have it fixed.

Actually there is a program which can connect to Kazaa stuff. But I suppose you wouldn't know that since you don't probably use a mac.

it was done on purpose, i work at www.macmall.com and that is what they were telling us, but ya, i wanna get one of these, hopefully the cost of it is significantly less than 2994, which is what the highest model is going for, so i can get one, hehe

MacOS has been and will always be a more user friendly operating systems to windows.

Ctrl+Shift+F3 does the same thing and convieniently stores the snapshot in the root directory.

I really have to disagree with you there. I find them alot more user unfriendly. I might be somewhat biased in my opinion because I own a PC and have been using one for many years, but when I do work on macs I really can't understand why people think they're so user friendly. W

And what really annoys me is the way programs open up. They open with all these unconnected small windows, still allowing you to see your wallpaper and other open programs behind.. why cant they just fit all the current open program's components into one nice window? And then why dont they have something as convienient as a task bar? It really is nice to just minimize and maximize things by a simple click on their position on the task bar.

That's so much more complicated. Just like only having one mouse button. Why? And no scroll wheel? They should at least come with those.

That's probably the reason why then. If you used a mac for many years and then tried to use Windows, i'm sure you would find that confusing...

Every mac supports two mouse button and scroll wheel functionality. If you don't like the single button mouse, then change it. Furthermore, Microsoft makes a Mac OS X driver for its IntelliMouse, which extends the two button mouse even more, allowing you to specify what the buttons do, how fast the cursor movies, and exempting specific programs from two button functionality.

im a PC freak and that think looks pretty cool....too bad they cost so much and i dont have so much money :whip:

k.k.d.
Very cool hardware... However, like always with Apple, a bit overpriced... Don't get me wrong, if I had money to spare on a computer, I would go for the new dual G5 without even thinking twice.. However, for that amount of cash I can as well have an even more impressive Intel setup...

Of course, if you guys are up to supporting "buy uncle KKD a new G5 tower" fund raising program, it might be within the reach.. lol :)

meh.

i'm happy with my pc.
