| i dont know if you guys noticed but the matrix did a lot to revalutionize the way action films are made, i mean look at this years super bowl for example. that shot they do where they freeze the action then rotate the image to a different camera and then continue... that has matrix written all over it. btw i heard some one from the film proccess (i think the producers) says that the sequel will have a fight scene that dwarves any in the first, and let me say that fight in the room with the swat/guns in the original was pretty sweet. |

| i saw Gladiator yezterday on DVD and surrond system....gotta tell ya dood's da movie en rocks...it moved me coz seeing all dos en soldiers die 4 there country and ...if u like war movies based on true facts or legends den ya obviously Gladiator is gonna be ur pick...personally Gladiator 2 me was a bit better coz i like war movies more den Sci-fi movies :)...but Matrix but was tight as well...so i guess ill stay on BOTH!! :) |

| yea I heard that too about the next matrix being a prequel. That would make more sense I think. They both are very different movies but I would have to say the Matrix cause it was such a new thing and it kinda shocked anyone who saw it. |

If you know your stuff, you'll know that Gladiator was a rip-off but don't get me wrong, I can name upwards of 100 films better than Matrix anyway... If I had to pick between the two though, it's

| Tough choice man! But ill have to take The Matrix. Gladiator is alot dif from matrix so its hard to compare. But i'd say the matrix is more original movie. Gladiator = Braveheart but older, Braveheart being one of my fav movies, and one of the few to make me cry. |

| I've never seen Gladiator but I have seen Matrix.. I'm not sure it was kind of confusing.. I guess I'm not an action movie person. |

ok whats the in big deal if thats THREE questions and not one...
to me it was just the damn way he breaks out and defeats the friggin matrix...it makes me think of what society is like today...and didn't sum1 say it really was a commentary on that exact issue?? i don't know for sure...
but if it is, it does a good job...of course u have to SEE it that way..hehheh...i mean we've all got these fixed ideas and stuff that are sort of like The Matrix...i mean just like the folks in that movie, we grow up with these ideas which become ever more powerfully ingrained in our subconscious minds as we grow to the extent that we don't even realize that they're not based on reality at all...
and whenever i think of morpheus, i think of my old buddies martin luther king, mahatma gandhi, galileo, newton and of course albert einstein...
just like Neo and Morpheus, they too met with resistance when they first began to preach their ideas and stuff..thats y folks like that r so damn rare and even when they do try to explain their kickass ideas, the world just laughs at them..."the establishment"..then starts playing the role of the matrix...when Neo finally beat the in out of the Matrix, it reminded me of the great work my buddies thus did for humanity...

coolest movie that came out in a long time...
well gladiator was cool too
I specialy like when the main hero dies, it makes the whole movie all more realistic.
anyway as someone sayd the matrix has more original story line. |
