Piano is nice, but I think its one of the more commonly used ones.
The cello is also a good instrument, like in Gouryella - Gouryella, nice deep and rich sound....:D |

LOL. "Bubba-Bob, put on some of that thar banjo techno..."
Errrr. Piano gets my vote, but that's the most used classical instrument. I used to play clarinet, though I don't know how that would sound in a trance/prog song. :nervous: :D |

Piano and strings....
Without them the track is not complete...IMO |

I love songs with piano in them :) |

Strings sound cool in a trance song; actually, any sample from a classical tune sounds good (think 'Barbers Adaigo For Strings (Ferry Remix').
But the best sounding non-electronic instrument i've heard is the acoustic guitar in 'Dumonde - Human'. I'm not a great fan of any guitar music but that tune's very unique IMO

just curios to know since when 'strings' is an instrument. the strings everyone means is (usually) a combination of a violin, a viola, a cello and double bass.
antyway, just me being pedantic again. |

| Gabriel & Dresden's usage of guitars in both 'Beautiful Things' and 'Make Me' made guitars grab a spot on my list. Also, the sound Tiësto uses in his remix of 'Did I Dream'... grrrraur! |
