I found this topic weird because I have always found his productions top class but thought that Electro Buzz was really cheesey :conf:
conflicting taste me thinks.

yeah him and michael Woods have had a long standing relationship...Marcella Woods is Michael Woods sister so the whole woods family has got on the production hehehe...
i think that a lot of people just don't realize that they are hearing matt darey songs...i'll be damned if i sit here and listen to somebody say these songs aren't class hehehe...

All the five you mentioned are awesome but Breathe In You (Tekara's M&M Dub) and Sun Is Shining (Mash Up Matt Remix) are probably my two favourite Darey productions. Both are over 11 (!) minutes and will do some serious damage the whole way. The original of Breathe In You is breakbeat, I recall, but Matt's own dub mix slams the throttle on with a driving monster. Tiesto did well to include it on Magik 3. And he also used the Sun Is Shining remix on ISOS 1. Good taste. ;)
I'd also recommend:
Hurley & Todd - Sunstorm (Matt Darey Face Off Mix) although I prefer the Dumonde remix

Lost Tribe - Gamemaster is a blatant ripoff of Quench - Dreams,but other than that Matt has some quite impressive productions under his belt, like these:
M3 - Bailamos (Matt Darey Mix) <--- amazing spanish flavor in this,one of his best ever IMO
Li Kwan - Point Zero<--- a true gem.Breathtaking vox and synthwork.
Delerium - Heaven's Earth (Matt Darey Mix)<--- classic,one of the trance tunes I grew up with
Matt Darey - Moody<-- tons of energy
Tekara - Breathe In You<----a real beauty
plus lots more.You can't deny the skills of this man,even tho he has gone slightly downhill lately. |

EDIT: you know that gamemaster is only a different version of Give Me A smile which came out the same year as quench - dreams... |

Speaking of "Gamemaster", has anyone else heard Lost Tribe - My Soul which was released on "The Distant Voices EP" with "Gamemaster" in August 1997. I actually much prefer this one to "Gamemaster". It's essentially very similar but focuses more on the piano sequence and has a smoother flow than "Gamemaster". It also doesn't have that small part which sounds like Quench - Dreams which is a major plus for me. However, I do love those somewhat weird but atmospheric spoken vocals in "Gamemaster". All in all, both are superb but "My Soul" is better than "Gamemaster" for me.
"The Distant Voices EP" was a superb release, "Angel" is another great track, especially in the form of the 4/4 Mix. |

Matts new track is pretty damn cool as well, Marcella did a Live PA at passion the other week before matt started his DJ set, think it's called Arms of an angel :conf:
