I have a soundblaster 5.1 so the midi output is delayed when using a VST, any way of lowering the quality of output to get the VST to play in real time with you playing on the keyboard ?
Thanks, |

Just lower the latency time. You will end up with a grainy, crackly sound though. I don't have my studio comp on at the moment so I can't find out exactly where it is but i will look for you later though. It should be in preferences somewhere. Maybe in the devices menu, not too sure without looking. |

Make sure you are using ASIO drivers provided by the sound card manufacturer. |

Yeah, well ASio and Direct X, or is that just the outputs ? |

Output is what we're talking here... that's where the latency between you hitting a key on a VSTi and hearing the note comes from.
So, make sure you select an ASIO driver for the output :) |
