| Well, we had 10 years of peace after the iron curtain fell. But I guess truly peace is fleeting, now we have an invisible enemy that can not be easily routed out, cannot be easily pin pointed, can be your brother, or your sister or can be your neighbour. Even with Saddam gone, there is another enemy. It will be an undending cycle of which there is no definate end. Welcome to a brave new world of increased paranoia, fear, loss of civil rights, racism and prejudice. Why must history repeat itself over and over and over again, have we learned nothing? |

| Well at least relish in the fact that this new enemy is nowhere near as menacing as the old enemy. I'm much more relieved that it's the terrorism alert levels being raised as opposed to the defcon levels. |

here's my take on it....
By 2020 UK and Russia will be a part of EU, which will make the EU the greatest superpower. Then the U.S and Canada, and Mexico will ceate the North American Union with a common dollar currency.
India and Pakistan eventually will reach a point where there will be a full scale war and India will win, but at the last resort Pakistan uses nukes and wipes out India, but not before India launches its own set of nukes and wipes out whats left of Pakistan
China in a ditch effort to regain control over Thailand launches a full scale assualt on the island and captures it, this in turn causes the rath of the North American Union to start a full scale war with China were Hawaii and certain Californian states in the U.S will be nuked as well as Beijing. The war ends after 25 million Chinese die in Beijing.
meanwhile Seeing this war between the NAU and China, North Korea takes the oppertunity to invade South Korea and Japan. They do so without any problems since the NAU is much pre-occupied.
