I have family in Israel... hopefully Ill be going there next summer to DJ, Im praying long and hard. :D

Now what exactly are the kinds of places you want to see, because honestly for people who live in NY, there really isnt much glare here. Times square is pretty with all the lights, the Statue of Liberty is nothing special - I see it everyday, central park is green, the rivers are dirty..

Record stores.. Eightball record store is on East 9th between 3rd and 4th.. and I think theres a Satellite Records somewhere in the city, i dunno the address tho.

DJ equipment.. really there isnt much around that I know about, I would like to know if there are any in NYC also, except Sam Ash.

If you want interesting places to go eat dinner and just hang out... Ill look it up and check for you, I have a few places in mind already. :toothless

CRAP! I forgot you were 16, I was gonna suggest you go to a restaurant called Lucky Chang's, but I dont think they would let you in and I dont think you would enjoy it as much as typical new yorkers.

Gonna go hit up google and see what it says.

Satellite is at 259 Bowery St (just south of Houston St)

Of the little I know about equipment stores, Canal Hi Fi (in Chinatown) might be most worth checking out. I've heard you might be able to bargain with them.

You can also try Rock and Soul, near Penn Station

Too bad you're 2 years too young for Armin @ Roxy, or any of the other clubs
Maybe there will be a no-ID party during the time you're here :p

you shoud go to PS1 while you are here. there is no age restriction and it is really fun. it is held at an art museum in Qns. www.ps1.org. saturdays 3-9

also, there are some good free shows for summerstage. and maybe you should go to the zoo.

i might be able to borrow an old ID from one of my friends for you... do you have a picture so i know what you look like?

i don't know DJ stores at all and I barely know the record stores in the city. Rebel Rebel is right near the Christopher St. 1/9 subway station, just west of it, on bleecker i think.

if you find yourself with time to just hang out... definitely hang out in the village, around christopher st./8th st./st. marks, both east and west. also, Ave. A from about 11th or 12th st down is a lot of fun.
