Hi
I'm a jr. web designer interested in working with the current admin of this site in making a new layout for TA. My designs are innovative, original, and fresh and will give this site the distinguished look it deserves.
No I don't want any money. I'm a very big trance addict, and feel this is the type of community that is worth investing in. Plus my finals just ended and I like to keep my self busy. Please contact me a.s.a.p. ether through aim (pr0phetali) or through here. |

| The current design has been worked on etc and perfected. Can;t see any reason to change it myself. |

Sure... I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the current layout. Just that there is always room for imporvements. I'm also a big beliver in keeping thigs simple. I was thinking a layout like www.designiskinky.com and www.ultrashock.com should work very nicely for TA. |

I'm gonna post something soon on the main page + put a thread on here looking for ppl willing to redesign the site... more so to see how they can re-do the 'site news page' and the 'live sets' page...
From there I can see where things are going and then decide which direction to go for the whole thing...
On a side note, the forums need some work too in their layout... nothing drastic but the header definitely needs some work and an improved faq/important thread(s) link would go a LONG way |

Well i did say that the site didnt need updating. But after redoing my site. Maybe it needs to be slightly modernised. Simple and effective, and no flash.
Just something to update the look, as this is the biggest trance site on the net.
But it would be a great idea to make a competition or something for all the web designers on here to have a go at making a design, and then the best will be used.
Personally a face lift is in order :D |

Yes... I agree on the forum needing some help. If I was in charge, I make a mirror image of offtopic.com. They have the best hacks and smilies I have ever seen.
So... want me to start working on somr html templates? |

It isnt about fixing, and there is nothing to fix. Its about updating. No features r being changed, nothing is being lost, its just about a face lift. If any commercial company left all there images for years close would still have flares and be brown, and calculaters would be the size of houses. Hehe, well u know what i mean :p |

imo you should wait a bit, cos theres more than just you who's talented enough to redesign, if you wanna go ahead then do so, but if swamper chose something else, dont make a personal crusade out of it, like your sigs thing, cos theres more than enough talent in the board for a good site competition |

Whenever a redesign, pleeeaaaaeaseeee remember to keep it simple. Simple sites are friendlier on the eyes, easier to browse, and load faster. Oh, and they are more appealing to the casual browser out there.
I used to to be a professional webdesigner (not anymore....but I did do Chevy's old site years ago) and actually went to school focusing on design research and did lengthy focus group testings and surveys on this stuff....so yeah, I hope I know what I'm talking about.
With the forums, the layout probably just needs to be cleaned up. Nothing drastic. The forums work well, me thinks (and I run forums that have 150,000 members and are WAYYYYYY more complex and feature oriented than these....and I still prefer these :p)
I have some design I did for a site I considered creating about a year ago (about music) that I think would be awesome for TA....and it's ready to go supposing your server supports a few things....I never used it because I finally asked myself what the hell was I thinking trying to start a site when I work like 80 hours a week as it is.....now the question is, does it exist still, since the account I was testing it on has been wiped. I will search my backup CDs and HDs for it. |
