Has anybody read about this yet? If this were ancient times you can bet AIDS would probably end up being a global disease that would kill off everybody except for the few that are evolutionary more advanced.

It is a global disease killing people off, mostly in Africa. Although Africa have many people dying each day to disease like AIDS and other tropical diseases, the growth rate of Africa continually increases which is odd as some first world country populations are decreasing very slightly, or have very little growth as compared to Africa.

I had a biology professor that beleived that AIDS originated in Africa at the time Polio virus was trying to be erradicated in the same central region. He suggested through some evidence that AIDS may have started out there.

Although the article is very interesting, who knows if it will work with other people. Like it said in the article, HIV diguises itself by binding with sugar molecules so antibodies are unable to find the virus, bind to it and destroy it like it can with other viruses.

Another thing with AIDS/HIV is that i can continully mutate, therefore is difficult to destroy. Antibodies are very very specific and are made with specific orientations as a "lock and key" model so it cannot keep up with mutations of the virus.

Im very skeptical of HIV/AIDS research for these reasons as the virus mutates and is very difficult to erradicate. I wont beleive any research until tests prove at least 50% success.

^^^^^^^^ I completely agree.. that's why finding a "cure" for the common cold is next to impossible becuase it keeps on mutating. For ever vaccine produced for the cold another mutated version rises up and the vaccine is worthless..

Very interesting read. Would be cool if the vaccine works.
