It was shaping up to be quite the 3 day weekend here in Seattle. Although it was a shame the the Mario Picotto show was canceled there was still a ton of shows to check out.

Why can't every weekend be like this one was?! :(

my review:

derrick carter at last supper club: 6/10 - crowd didnt' give a and he didn't care the crowd didn't like what he was playing

mark farina at last supper club: 8/10 - great track variety, crowd was hootin' and hollerin'

junior sanchez at baltic room: dirty mothering house- ....so dirty that my priest volunteered to wash me when i left the club. crowd was digging it but it could have been better

Jimmy van M at last supper club : 9/10 - ing sick set....second half of set was nasty breaks...not adam freeland nasty, but really great house / trance breaks...he's taking a page out of the Lee Combs guide to DJ'ing. the set would have been a 10/10 but the ing power went out for 20 minutes...not his fault. also poor management: he wanted to play an encore but they cut him off and this fag on the PA system started talking like we give a what he says..we went to hear some good music aand have a good time.

anyways, i'm new here..just moved from DC. DC had great dj's rolling through and dj'ing till 6 or 7 am. not this where , seriously, they arrive at midnight, beging their set at 12:15, tehn stop their set at 1:45 or 2. i didn't pay a 15 or 20 dollar cover to watch some c-list dj spin for 2 hours then have the main guy i want to see dj for a little over an hour.... this . i'm sorry, but this pisses me off.

trying to hit up vancouver soon...any recomendations for good clubs up there?danny howells is coming soon but on a weeknight...damn, damn damn.
peace.
