Buying used Technics on E-Bay

Hey guys, being a CDJ I want to make the jump to vinyl next month, and since everyone recommends Technics decks, that's what I'll buy. Technics here in Portugal are really expensive so I'm considering buying from a German E-bay. Questions:
1) is it safe? (never used e-bay)
2) what's a good price for one deck? (I've seen from 171€ up to 400€!)
3) Is there anything I should ask the seller?
I really don't know if this is a good idea, but the SL-1210 MK II costs over 600€ here. Any help? :conf:
Thanks!
PS- Btw what's your opinion on the Reloop RP4000 MK3 Chrome Ltd? I can buy it new here in Portugal for 370€ and it seems a good deck! |

Those reloops are OEM decks, that means, that you can buy them and then resell them under your own name... I don't recommend them, 'cuz they're rather bad in quality...
But, a good price for a used technics is about 350 - 400€... |

thanks for the input :)
Another question, what's the difference between the SL 1200 and the SL 1210? |

Euhm, On djmart.com, it costs the same as the SL1200 but on a dutch webshop, i see its alot more expensive than the sl1200...
It has a pitch reset button... That's the only difference i see, the sl1210 is a newer model (i think... i'm not sure)
Get the ordinary SL1200 |

| I bought a used Technics 1210 mkII from eBay for $293, and it works perfectly, no scratches on the surface, one scratch on the dustcover, and came with an Oftofon Concorde styli. |
