He passed his medical yesterday, he's ours. A free transfer and a four year contract was signed today.

Our first match of the season is against Leeds at Elland Road. Should be interesting to see Woodgate and Bowyer back together playing against their old club at their old ground, first match of the season - the atmosphere should get pretty heated.
King of Clubs
A very good player, but with an attitude problem.

It will be interesting to see how he fits in, don't really think he fitted in at West Ham and his form suffered, no doubt an excellent player just his temperament lets him down

Aside from Woodgate and Bowyer, Newcastle's Bernard is facing rape allegations and Bellamy is also facing several charges of racism.

Bobby Robson may have said "monks don't play football at this level", but all these off-field controversies could distract our season. With several controversial figures in the dressing room, I hope it doesn't have a negative impact on the team. I hope the lads can focus on a serious title challenge this time, we've got a tough start to the season with Leeds, Man Utd and 2 Champions League matches all in one fortnight.

Bowyer is still to face a 6 match European ban for stamping on the head of a Malaga player while Solano might not be ready for the Man Utd game because of commitments with the Peruvian national side.

Yeah, people slag him off for his skills at West Ham, but let's not forget Liverpool tried to buy him for 9million not that long ago and we've just got him for free. Chelsea and Arsenal tried to get him too. At the very least it's a good business deal - who knows, if we get him back into form we could sell him for millions anyway.

Perhaps I'm being too optimistic, but I think Bobby Robson might be able to get the guy back on track. I'm sure Bowyer is keen to prove himself at a forward-looking club such as Newcastle.

Yeh I think Bobby Robson is one of the best managers in the Premiership and I think he has the know how to influence Bowyer and make him into a better player.
