Spinning BT

I'm just curious, as you can see how I feel about BT in my sig, but what do you guys think about spinning BT in your sets? Is he mostly an intro track, filler track, etc? If you aren't a DJ, how do you feel about BT during a set?

BT -- Flaming June can be put anywhere in the set, 'nuff said!!!

Ferry and Armin have been using that track recently again!!!

Some of his old tunes are great for set like Flaming June, Namistai, and a few others BUT he needs new trance material. Because he produces such a incredible range of music types, some of them wouldn't work in a set.

His album is going to be released soon so hopefully there will be a few trance tunes (or maybe get remixes by top trance producers) :)

Let's hope so.

I am a big fan of Smartbomb and Somnambulist, but I have been wondering, if anywhere, where it would be spun during a set....maybe somewhere in a heavy prog set perhaps.....???

Sly, bluelimited, you'll be happy to know that there is some dope on the new album, some of it is 4 on the floor, some breaks, all of it sick. I dont know who's on remix duty though.

If you've had the opportunity to see him live in the past couple months, he's been playing bits and pieces from the new album.
So if you get the chance, see him live: he remixes and stutter-edits on the fly.

One track called Force of Gravity features JC Chasez <-spelling? from Nsync on vocals... it will make your balls explode it is so good.

As far as breakbeat goes, all ive heard is "Knowledge of Self".. which is basically Tao of the Machine on amphetamines. Its so off the hook, its in a different time zone than the hook!

Hmm, what else.. oh yeah, 34 days till Emotional Technology comes out!

*NB: i realize some people will undoubtedly bring up the "omg sellout works with nstink, what a sellout fag! make more namistai please BT" angle.. but until you've heard Force of Gravity, you HAVE to shut up.

Okay, seriously, nobody should start this with 'selling-out' & bt... he's been doing what he's been doing for years now and let the man be! I love the guy and I support him 100% in whatever he does, he has the best ear for good music (in my opinion)..he's a great producer, enough said.

Also, 'Love In The Time of Thieves' is an EXCELLENT track! Original..fresh..everything BT! Look out!

btw, good post man!

Well, I know that lots of DJs consider BT tracks to be the highlight of a set. Think of everyone that dropped "Flesh" in 2001.
