I said after he played the arches on the 28th that he could never top that performance.
how wrong could I have been. this was by far the best dj'ing and crowd performance i have ever witnessed. the atmosphere was unbelieveable,
his tunes were mostly hard as nails along with others like coldfunk and new time new place. his set was completely differnt from that in dec.
i would put money on it that no other dj in the world could get the arches as pumped as him.
playing hard as nails techno to a majority hard trance crowd and they were lapping it up.
build ups that just kept on going and going, and just when you think the beat it ready to kick back, it continues. and when the beat does kick in, the century's old structure could barely take it. oh for what i'd give to relive that night.
meeting him was the icing on the icing of the cake.
roll on october for another installment of mauro madness. |

this atmosphere was electric!
by far the best atmosphere ive experienced in a club!
rock solid tunes! simply hard as all night! mixing was spot on! lights were blinding especially next to me down the front! the arches may not look the best club (the old brickwork structure hasnt been changed or covered) but its not needed as theres a big off soundsystem and a set of decks!
all im saying is if you live anywhere remotely near scotland! ie if you can travel to glasgow in under 24 hours get here for the next picotto installment at the arches!
you may not like techno or picotto but it is simply worth it!
and for those that do love picotto or techno! if you want to see picotto at his best make it to the arches next time!
overall: SIMPLY BREATHTAKING!

| sounds like it was a kick ass nite!! Unfortunately he cancelled for Two Tribes (our biggest party down here, about 20,000) so we missed out on Mauro action. Maybe soon though..... |

now i think about it.......... ur wee review kinda reminds me of the last time i seen mauro in scotland, @ homelands 2000.
he was on last that night and eveybody was at the stage where they had taken all the drugs and couldnt really be ed anymore. then picotto came on the decks and ripped the m8 tent apart. usual trance fans going a bit mad to some harder trance and bits of techno here and there, even i liked him that day :tongue3 |
