Sasha lets you download the different components that went together to develop all the songs on Airdrawndagger in wav or mp3 format. It's really fascinating to see how the different parts went together to develop the songs. The Magnetic North zip has 14 different mp3's. This is awesome for anyone interested in remixing some of his songs.

On top of that, he offers polyphonic ring tones (3 pounds), live sets (none yet, I dont think), unreleased mp3s, and a ton of other great stuff.

You have to register, but it's quick, easy, and FREE.

Innovative. Very cool.

It's nice to see a DJ using the tech of the net to market themselves in different ways.

Not that I'm much of a Sasha fan. Going against the grain, but I heard him live late last year and I thought it was trash.

Airdrawndagger has grown on me however - its just not stuff I want to dance to when I go out.

Somebody wanna prove me wrong? What's his best livemix/production to date???

Sasha is god, all his sets kick ass! He is more of a late night coming down DJ though, i know one thing, he is one of the Few DJs i can listen to with a harsh hang over, I feel he is the most consisten DJ there is to date, his productions are all solid, his sets usually are very solid, just a taste thing though. but i mean FFS Xpander, wavy gravy, blood lock, his remix of purple!!!!!! omfg i die!! Sasha pwns me,

For a good set, i have one labeled live in orlando, it doesnt have dates on it but i nabbed in SoulSeek very nice set, i think ya should like. There are loads of good sasha sets out there though.

As for what he does on his site, yes he seems very fond of encouraging everyone to give it a shot, and is not greedy at least it appears :stongue:

One of the big motivations for seeing Sasha live was that everybody said how good he is, how he can take you on a journey. I totally agree - his music has soul. Airdrawndagger proves this - but as a live DJ I guess he is just not to my taste. When I go out I want something with a hard thumping bassline, that has a journey and something that really makes me wanna dance.

Sasha doesn't do this for me - its more of a "listen and love" and cruise along with his music rather than a hard thumping bassline and melody.

So ultimately I came out disappointed I guess. Maybe I built him up to be something more than he could ever produce.
